Now, let me tell you the story of how it all got started. . .

Years ago in medical school, I was so immersed in my studies that the anatomical and cellular world became as everyday to me as the scenery on my drive home. As a result, I was able to see unlikely similarities in design. The following images represent one of my first such recognitions—the Purkinje Cell (a nerve cell carrying information from the cerebellum) and an oak tree.

Remembering that moment prompted me to start this site in 2006. And now, it's led me to a book. Do let me know where else you'd like to see it lead.
